Imagine how you lay for a visit to the gynecologist or how you'd lay during labor.

She placed a giant pillow under my legs, and that combined with the chairs recline made for a pretty awkward laying down-ish position. The same woman stopped my manicure and started to work on my feet. She sprayed my hands with what I think may have been water or alcohol, and somewhat trimmed my cuticles-when I got into the light I realized that my cuticles were barely trimmed. Another woman approached me and started to file my hands for the gel manicure. It was then time for me to switch to the lazy boy chair, where the woman very lightly, massaged my feet for 5 more minutes (polish from my previous pedicure was still on my feet). This woman who did my massage was pretty nice, she wasn't as rough on my feet as she was on my back which was a bummer. She proceeded to give me a neck massage for about 5 minutes which was really nice. I was then led into the very dark massage/spa area where an older woman had me sit down on a foot rest located in front of what looked like a lazy boy chair, and place my feet in a wooden bucket. I felt really rushed at this point, so I just went with one that she showed me. I felt her gaze on me for a bit and then front desk lady walked to me, started suggesting colors for me. The same front desk woman walked me over to a table where all of the possible gel polishes were displayed, and it was taking me a while to decide.

She asked me if I wanted "the $40 one" or "the $30 one, just gel polish no manicure." What the heck?! An extra $10 for what I would routinely get for $30 anywhere else? I decided to stay because again, I was pressed for time. I greeted the front desk woman, and she didn't really acknowledge me or make me feel welcome, so I went ahead and expressed that I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. I was on a bit of a time crunch, had no time to research other nail salons in the area, and this place was convenient so I just decided to take my chances and walk in. I'm not really sure where to start with this place. The back room is dimly light and combined with the wine they offer it could put you to sleep! I don't know who would rate Zen anything less than 5 stars, as a regular this place is phenomenal and I will continue to go here! See More Read Less Boy, do they definitely deserve every tip they get. The last time I was in, 2 of the customers were very short and rude to the staff, but the girls just smiled and continued to do their job.

I've recommended Zen to all my friends & they are always impressed. Kathy and some of the original girls are no longer there but the new girls are just as good, especially Quen & Phuong ! The staff alwa.ys takes good care of me. I have been coming to Zen for 5+ years and I can honestly say it is the most professional, cleanest nail spa in the area! Cece, the manager is extremely accommodating, I walked in last night without an appt and they took me right away ! It is a very relaxing atmosphere.you get a shoulder, foot & leg massage with your pedicure, well worth it. If Google Analytics is deployed via Google Tag Manager, this cookie will be named _dc_gtm_.
